- In The Wolf of Wall Street, during the kissing scene between DiCaprio and Joanna Lumley (almost twice his age), he was so nervous that the scene required a reported 27 takes to get it right.
I highly doubt it to be nervous, might have done to enjoy it. Kidding!
2. DiCaprio was named after the artist Leonardo da Vinci after his pregnant mother happened to be standing in front of one of da Vinci’s paintings the first time she felt him kick.
Good thing she wasn’t standing in front of a Warhol. Andy DiCaprio doesn’t quite have the same ring to it. Jk!
3.He has always proved himself to be a socially responsible person here's why. In 1998, DiCaprio donated a roomful of computers and equipment to the Los Feliz Library, which was built on the site of his childhood home.
Also, While filming Blood Diamond in South Africa, DiCaprio “adopted” a South African baby girl that he met at an orphanage. He sends her a cheque once a month and talks on the phone with her regularly.
In 2010, DiCaprio donated $1,000,000 to the Wildlife Conservation Society at Russia’s tiger summit. Despite multiple plane delays, DiCaprio persisted on making it to the event, which prompted Vladimir Putin to describe him as a “real man.”
This man has my mad respect.
4. Leonardo was trained by renowned Hollywood Gun Coach Thell Reed, who has also trained such actors as: Brad Pitt, Val Kilmer, Edward Norton, Russell Crowe, Ben Foster and Girard Swan.
DiCaprio began attracting the attention of producers by this.
5. He’s never done drugs. He and the entire cast took crushed Vitamin B tablets for doing the scenes involving cocaine in “The Wolf of wall Street”.
Today's youngsters have to draw their motivation from this man. Leonardo DiCaprio has an estimated net worth of $245 million. He makes an average of $20 million a year, with some years better than others. Despite having all riches this man is so simple and gentle. My regards to his single mother Irmelin Indenbirken who raised him with man of values.
